After two days of hard fun and project development, it’s time for Constructing Modern Knowledge to blow off some steam during our annual Big Night Out in Boston. Each year’s excursion begins with a provocative educational presentation at a great institution. This year we have a new venue for the first time in a decade. We are thrilled to announce that Berklee College of Music has graciously agreed to host CMK 2020 participants with a short presentation by a faculty member to be announced shortly.

For decades, Berklee has been a leader in developing young musicians, embracing cutting-edge technology, and pedagogical innovation. Berklee is renown for its role at the intersection of art, science, technology, social justice, global education, and entrepreneurship. There may be no better implementation of constructionism in higher education than Berklee.

At 3 PM on Wednesday, July 15th, we will board buses bound for Boston. Our first stop is Berklee where a member of faculty (TBA) will speak with us about music, technology, and educational innovation, followed by a short Q&A session. Then CMK participants have until 11 PM to explore Boston. Berklee is located in Boston’s historic Back Bay and is around the corner from the boutiques and restaurants of Newbury Street; across the street from The Prudential Center, Copley Square, and Hancock Tower, and a ten-minute walk to the picturesque Charles River or Boston Common. Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, and the North End are a short ride on the T away.
